Norton is the main hub for operations within the group,
Although the bulk of RAFVO operations out of EGVN are
conducted in an AT role we also are home to the entire
AAR fleet. Many squadrons carry out a dual AT AAR role
with the exception of 99 and 101 SQNs who are dedicated
to AT & AAR respectively. AT operations out of Brize
Norton are varied and see many international flights,
other AT squadrons can be found at Lyneham and Northolt.
Recently the station has started flights to the mid east,
to simulate supply of International forces and
humanitarian ops. As of late march 2004 I am currently in
the process of opening up air traffic control at Brize
Norton on the IVAO network,
I am hoping that EGVN_APP will be open as a atc channel
at least 3 nights per week. It is asked that all members
use the appropriate parking bays when on ground at Brize
Norton, if anyone would like to join me in an ATC role
here at EGVN please contact admin, rafsim2004@yahoo.co.uk . No previous atc
experiance or knowledge is required as IVAO operates good
